Wonderful walks from the door. Fabulous restaurants 5 minutes walk away. Waterfall, lakes, views. The small, friendly market town of Ambleside - nestled amidst the fells of Fairfield, Loughrigg and Wansfell, at the head of Lake Windermere - is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. There is usually something of interest here: Spring flower show, Christmas lights, sports day etc. You will find also find a Tourist Information Centre, post office, late night Spar and Coop, butchery, bakeries, fish n 'chip shops, pubs & cafes, excellent restaurants, cinema, bars with live music, interesting shops, banks, museums, boat trips on Lake Windermere & buses [open top in summer] to other lakes and attractions.

Kitchen/diner: well-equipped with full size gas cooker, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, iron, full utensils, pine dining suite, a traditional tea set for afternoon tea and more modern crockery for dinner.Roomy bathroom: original cast iron bath big enough for 2, separate walk in electric shower, shaver point. Sunny twin bedroom with cast iron fireplace, deep window seat and lovely views.
