How quickly can you add my advert to this site?
We are currently adding properties to our website every week. So We normally review and activate your property advert within 48hrs before it goes live. Providing you have enough information added to your advert page & uploaded all your photos.
Can I email my photos to you?
Yes, if you have problems uploading your images or they are a very large file size please email them to us as jpeg files and we will be happy to upload and resize them for you, they must be original images and of good quality.
Please Note: There is a minimum requirement of 6 photos of your property before your advert will be activated, we do encourage you to upload more, as a good quality picture can say a thousand words.
Can I make a text adjustment to the content of my page?
Yes, as mentioned above your are in complete control of your whole advert, so we recommend you complete as much information as possible as your advert is indexed by search engines such as Google so the more content helps with keywords related to your property and area which can be found online as you are trying to showcase your property to holidaymakers worldwide.
Problems viewing our website?
Having trouble viewing our website pages! Our website is designed for these browser versions only so you may need to download the most current browser to your pc. Supported browsers: IE 8, IE 9, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari, if your still having problems please contact our support team to report any problems.
I uploaded my advert, why cant i see it online?
Every advert posted needs to be approved by our team. If you posted your advert and don't see it live yet, it may be in the process of being approved normally 72hrs. Also please make sure you have at least 4 images on your advert and enough text. As we will not activate an advert with lack of information or no photos!
Could you create my advert for me?
Yes, we can as long as you provide all the relevent information and photos needed as we can only work with what we are given. As no one knows the property and its surrounding location better than you. After registering with us please provide Web Address(s) where your current property advert can be found. Also include the property number or any other relevent information when emailing us. There is an additional set-up fee of £20.00 GBP for creating each advert before we activate it.
Can I advertise more than one property on my account?
Yes, you can add upto 10 properties on any single account so long as they are all owned by the same person or company. So you can view and update all you properties with just one password and username. When adding more than one property to your account you can only select the same advert type or a higher value package.
Please note: We offer a discount to advertisers or agents with multiple properties, please contact us to see what we can do for you.
Can I request that my advert be removed from the website?
Yes, if you wish to stop advertising on our website (whether due to the sale of your property, or for any other reason), we can deactivate your advert within 48hrs, as long as you confirm this request to us in writing. You can also deactivate it yourself when you login to your home managment account. Please note that removal of your advert effectively terminates your subscription with no refund.
How long has Holidaylettings4you been established?
Holidaylettings4you was created in 2010 by Richard Hoben and Michelle Gourlay, two IT professionals with the interest in holiday homes and rental owners themselves. Their aim is to create a database system with all property types worldwide and to provide low cost advertising.

Paying for an advert
Yes, our payment system allows you to pay with Credit or Debit cards as we use a secure online payment system (PayPal) after payment you will be redirected
to our Homepage where you can login to your Home Management page using your username and password in which you registered with.
Simply log in to your Home Management page to edit information or photos, this is located on all of our pages at the top left-hand corner of each page.
Renewal
We will automatically send you a renewal each year to remind you or just ignore this if you want to cancel your account with us.
Suspending an advert temporary
If you wish to temporary remove your advert from our website, we can deactivate your account and your advert but we cannot credit
you back your advertising time you have paid for. We must receive the confirmation by email for the registered email address.
We also hold your advert details for 1 calendar month after your renewal date in case you wish to re-advertise again with us.
Fraudulent or scam booking enquiries
For help and advice on avoiding scams and recognising genuine enquiries, please see our info when your logged into your account.
Although the majority of enquiries sent are genuine from holidaymakers you still need to be vigilant when responding to your enquiries.
Improving your advert performance on search engines
We want your advert to do good, so to help your advert please ensure you complete as much information as possible about your property
and location, places of interest as these are also the terms Google and other search engines pick up on. These are called key words
as we find that people tend to search for specific names and keyword terms, SEO title - Please also ensure you complete this when adding your property
to our website, as we also spend a lot of time and money marketing our website we also rely on the advertisers to do there part.
Have your own property website?
Well another good idea is to link to us. You can add a link to your advert page free of charge if you link back to us,
otherwise you can add a non-reciprocal link (one way link) to your own personal property website for only £15 per annum by selecting the upgrade package
on the Home Management page when your logged into your account.
Login details
To log in to your Holidaylettings4you account you will need to enter your username and password. If you are having problems
accessing your account please check that you are entering the correct details as this is by far the most common reason
for login difficulties.
Forgotten your password?
If you have forgotten your password don't worry simply enter your email address you registered with on Holidaylettings4you account
in the Login/Register page and we will resend your details to you by email within 30 mins otherwise. Forgot Password
Photos! Uploading Photos Failing
If your having problems uploading or resizing your photo images, the possible stumbling block is the file size (Too Large) The images must be
a maximum of 400x300 pixels in size and be jpeg/jpg format. You might want to use image editing software such as: Download Image resizer
or just email our team with your name and Property ref number and we will upload them for you free of charge.
Please re-name each photo image in order 1-20 as you want them to appear as (1) being you main property advert image or 1-8 for Basic and Standard Advert Advertisers.
Upgrade your advert account
Advertisers can upgrade there account package at any time throught out there term with us, We have 3 main advert types: Basic, Standard and Premium, This is our most
effective advertising option. With it you will be featured on our homepage on rotation, and search page, also you will have the use of other availability calendar add up to 16 photographic images
and Premium label stamp on your advert listings and access to post messages on the owners lounge fourm page. Also you can add your own personal property website link to your advert page free of charge
if you have one. You can also include your skype ID to your advert puting you in direct contact with holidaymakers worldwide.
Please note: When upgrading your advert package you must select a higher value package.
As soon as we receive your request to upgrade we will send an invoice to the email address in which you supplied when completing the upgrade package option, as soon as we recieve payment in full we will upgrade your advert package (Please allow 24Hrs)
Who can leave a review
Any holidaymaker who has stayed at your home can leave a review. Before the review is posted to your advert we will contact you to verify whether that holidaymaker stayed
at your property. After a review has been submitted you will not be able to remove it, We will only provide their name and date of stay. The review will automatically be posted on your advert if you don't respond within the five working days.
Once you've confirmed that the holidaymaker stayed at your property, the review will be posted to your 'Reviews' page on your advert. You can read the full review by clicking on the 'View Reviews' tab on your advert page.
Monitoring your advert performance
To keep an eye on how well your advert is performing you can find all this information on your home managment page when logged into your account. If you have also added a link to your personal property website you can also see how many visitors have clicked out from your advert page to your own website.
Minimum advert requirements
Here at Holidaylettings4you we really want your advert to do well and to ensure all adverts are in the best possible shape in order to achieve as many enquiries and hits as possible.
We do have certain minimum standards which ensure the best performance for not only your individual advert but also the site as a whole. We review all adverts before activation and will let you know if any changes are required.
Your contact details and the address of your rental property
We need you to supply both your own residential address as well as the full address of the rental property before we can activate your advert. This information will not be displayed on your advert and will not be available to the public, it is for our personal records only
as we may need to contact you to verify who you are. We also suggest you add at least one contact telephone number to your advert page.
Short Description This is an important part of your advert as this is the first part a holidaymaker views before they click your advert and helping them to pick your property so make this part intresting as your trying to sell your property to them. We will not activate your advert without sufficient information.
Photos We require a minimum of six photos on every advert, which must include a selection of interior and exterior photos of your holiday property. Please ensure that you own the copyright to the photos, full size digital files (that have not been re-sized) may cause problems when uploading them, so you may need to resize your images before using our image tool.
Area / Region information The details you give about the area around your property are important for telling holidaymakers about all the great things there are to see and do in your area. Providing people with information about what there is to see and do in the region and the local area will inspire them to choose your property.
Availability Calendar (Standard, Premium and Gold Advertisers only) It is a requirement of your advertising contract with us that you display your property's availability to guests using the calendar on your advert. Your availability calendar must accurately reflect the current availability for the advertised property. Misrepresentation of availability of the advertised property is misleading to holidaymakers.
Listing Multiple properties You can add multiple properties to your account, and all your properties are linked together from your advert page giving holidaymakers an idea to the properties you own and maintain, also you can update or amend information with only one username and password, as you cant regisiter the same email address with us more than once for security reasons
Payments to Holidaylettings4you
Paying for an advert You can pay online using a debit or credit card after registering your details with us or if you wish to add another property to your account this can be done direct from your Home Management page and select 'Add Property' if you wish to pay by cheque you will not be able to add your property with us until your cheque clears we will email you as soon as we activate your account.
Renewals We will automatically email you a renewal each year to remind you that your advert is due to expire but just in case you want to cancel your advert just ignore the email and you will be removed from our website automatically.

Cheques in currencies other than British pounds are subject to an administration fee of £10
Alternatively we accept bank transfers, but please note this is subject to an administration fee of £10 Contact us if you would like further details about bank transfers.
Payment security Paypal, provides our payment system. This means we are able to accept payment online debit/credit card payments worldwide. We do not store your payment details on our website.
Please note: Holidaylettings4you will never email advertisers to ask for their login details.
